Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team at Oldham Council.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy frontline MASH Team, playing a key role in safeguarding children and ensuring timely, effective decision-making. You will be responsible for screening referrals, assessing risk, making threshold decisions and working collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure children and families receive the appropriate support and intervention.

Working within a fast-paced environment, you will contribute to the early identification of risk, promote effective multi-agency working and ensure statutory responsibilities are met in line with current legislation and best practice.

Key Skills Required:

  • Experience within MASH, Duty & Assessment, Child Protection or Safeguarding Teams
  • Strong knowledge of statutory children's social care legislation and safeguarding procedures
  • Experience screening referrals, undertaking risk assessments and making threshold decisions
  • Excellent assessment, analytical and report writing skills
  • Strong communication and multi-agency working abilities
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced workload while maintaining high-quality practice
  • Social Work England registration required

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Previous experience within Children's Services
  • Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and children's social care practice
