CIC Placement Tracker Officer - Barnsley Council

Contract: Ongoing Agency Contract

We are currently recruiting for a CIC Placement Tracker Officer to join Barnsley Council on an ongoing agency contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established local authority, supporting Children's Services and contributing to the effective management of placements for children in care.

About the Role

As a CIC Placement Tracker Officer, you will play a key role in coordinating and monitoring placements for Children in Care, ensuring that placements are suitable, cost-effective, and meet the needs of children and young people. You will work closely with social workers, commissioning teams, and external providers to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor placements for Children in Care.
  • Liaise with social workers, placement providers, and partner agencies.
  • Maintain accurate placement records and databases.
  • Support the identification and sourcing of appropriate placements.
  • Monitor placement availability, costs, and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory guidance and local authority procedures.
  • Produce reports and provide administrative support to the wider Children's Services team.

Requirements

  • Experience working within Children's Services or a placement/commissioning environment.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and using case management systems.
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach.
