We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PERM CLA Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Southend-on-Sea, offering a competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum. This role is pivotal in supporting children and young people in care, ensuring their well-being, safety, and development. You will work collaboratively with families, local authorities, and other professionals to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young adults.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to children in care and their foster families.
  • Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in working with children and families, particularly in the context of looked-after children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
