We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Social Worker to join our Fostering Connected Carers Team in Stockport. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and services to children in foster care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Assessing the needs of children in care and developing care plans
- Supporting and supervising foster carers to ensure they provide a safe and nurturing environment
- Working collaboratively with other professionals to advocate for the best interests of the children
- Participating in case conferences, court hearings, and reviews
- Providing emotional support and guidance to children and families
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in children's services
- Registration with Social Work England
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to children in care
