We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team in Walsall. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention to families in need, with a focus on safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Assessing the needs and risks faced by children and families, and developing appropriate intervention plans.
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to provide holistic support to families.
  • Undertaking direct work with children and families to address safeguarding concerns and promote positive outcomes.
  • Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings as required.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports in line with statutory requirements.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and HCPC registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with children and families in a social work setting.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to professional standards.
