We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Manager (TM) to join our Lambeth team in the Family Safeguarding and Child Protection (FSCP) department. This position offers the flexibility of working 2 days from the office with a competitive pay rate of £44.50 per hour in the field of Qualified Social Work.

Key responsibilities and duties of the Team Manager (TM) role include:

  • Managing a team of social workers and support staff to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Providing supervision, guidance, and support to team members to promote professional development and best practice
  • Overseeing complex cases involving child protection, family safeguarding, and court proceedings
  • Collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to coordinate holistic support for families in need
  • Participating in case conferences, reviews, and multi-agency meetings to ensure effective safeguarding measures

Essential qualifications and skills for this role include:

  • Qualified Social Work (QSW) registration with Social Work England
  • Demonstrated experience in a managerial or leadership role within a social work setting
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and safeguarding
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
