We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Team Manager/Practice Manager in the Southwark Office of Public Protection and Designated Services (OPPD). In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing and supporting the team in delivering high-quality social work services.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Provide supervision and guidance to a team of social workers to ensure effective case management and positive outcomes for service users.
  • Manage and monitor the team's caseloads, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to support the professional development of team members.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in a similar role within a statutory setting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with colleagues, service users, and partners.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in social work practice.
