We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our Looked After Children (LAC) Team in Southend On Sea on a PERM basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting and safeguarding vulnerable children and young people within the local community.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Undertaking assessments and developing care plans for children in care
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children and families
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies
  • Participating in court proceedings and reviews
  • Advocating for the best interests of children and promoting positive outcomes

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant degree or equivalent qualification
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Proven experience in working with Looked After Children and Child Protection
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases
