We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Wrexham - ATM - Looked After Children team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention services to children and young people who are in the care system.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducting assessments and developing care plans for looked after children.
- Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.
- Advocating for the needs and rights of looked after children within the care system.
- Providing emotional support and guidance to children and young people in challenging situations.
- Participating in case conferences, court hearings, and reviews to ensure the welfare of the children.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrated experience working with looked after children and young people.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills to identify needs and risks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
