Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and partner agencies to achieve permanence for children in care
  • Manage a caseload of looked after children with care plans focused on adoption
  • Build strong, meaningful relationships with children and young people to ensure their voices are heard
  • Contribute to care planning, court processes, and permanency planning
  • Work closely with Children in Care services and external partners to deliver positive outcomes

About You

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Minimum 3+ years post-qualified experience within UK Local Authority Children's Services
  • Strong experience working with Looked After Children (LAC)
  • Experience within court work, safeguarding, or permanence planning
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities effectively

Essential Requirements

  • 3+ years PQE within a UK Local Authority (Children's Services)
  • Social Work England (SWE) registration
