Child Protection Chair & LADO - Worcestershire
Worcestershire County Council is seeking an experienced and passionate Social Worker to join the Safeguarding & Quality Assurance Service as an Independent Child Protection Chair and Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO).
This is an exciting opportunity to join a stable, experienced, and supportive team that has been recognised by Ofsted as providing Good services for children and families. Youll be working in a role that is pivotal to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children across the county.

Key Responsibilities:
* Chair Initial and Review Child Protection Conferences
* Ensure SMART planning and risk management for children on CP plans
* Act as Duty LADO: handle referrals, chair Initial POT meetings, and follow through to resolution
* Promote and embed quality assurance standards
* Provide critical challenge and support to social care teams and partners
* Maintain high-quality, child-focused multi-agency working

Requirements:
* Qualified and experienced Social Worker
* Registered with Social Work England
* Proven experience in chairing complex meetings and managing challenging conversations
* Strong knowledge of current legislation, statutory guidance, and safeguarding procedures
* Previous management or senior-level experience in safeguarding roles
* Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
