About the Role:
Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join the Children & Families Team at Derbyshire County Council. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and dedicated team, making a real difference in the lives of children and families.
As a Social Worker in the Children & Families team, you will be responsible for supporting vulnerable children and families, ensuring that interventions are carried out effectively and in a timely manner. You will work to safeguard children, conduct assessments, develop care plans, and help families access the services they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children and families, providing support, guidance, and practical solutions.
- Conduct assessments and develop tailored care plans that focus on the child's needs and best interests.
- Safeguard children by following all relevant policies and procedures.
- Work closely with other professionals and agencies to provide holistic support to families.
- Attend meetings, case reviews, and court hearings as necessary.
- Ensure that all case records and reports are accurate and up to date.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with experience in children's services, particularly within a Children & Families team.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding practices and relevant legislation.
- Excellent assessment, report writing, and case management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A valid UK driving license (preferred but not essential).
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration.
- Driving license and access to own vehicle.
