Barnsley - AP - Assessment and Duty Team
EDEN BROWN SYENRGY is currently looking for an experienced & committed Advanced Practitioner for Barnsley Council , offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a well-established Assessment and Duty Team
PAY RATE : Upto £37.00 p/h (Umb)
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct timely, high-quality assessments with children and families within 40 working days.
- Work collaboratively with families to determine the appropriate intervention plan.
- Ensure smooth transfer of families to Early Help services or long-term social work teams where required.
- Participate in weekly on-duty allocations, providing responsive assessment support, then spend three weeks off-duty completing assessments and intervention planning.
- Contribute to a short-term service focused on reducing risk and meeting need efficiently.
- Liaise closely with police, colleagues, and external agencies to safeguard children
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration.
- Driving license and access to own vehicle.
