We are currently seeking an experienced Advanced/Senior Practitioner in Stoke on Trent to join our dedicated team working with Looked After Children. As a key member of our social work department, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support and interventions to vulnerable children and young people in care.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Undertake assessments and create care plans for Looked After Children
  • Provide direct support and guidance to children and young people, ensuring their well-being and safety
  • Liaise with various stakeholders including families, schools, and other professionals to coordinate holistic care
  • Conduct regular reviews and evaluations to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to support plans
  • Participate in multi-agency meetings and court proceedings as required

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration and experience in working with Looked After Children
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child welfare
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice
