Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Practitioner to join the Child in Need (CIN) Team at Birmingham Children's Trust.
Pay Rate: £33.30 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: B30 3BN, Birmingham
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and supportive Child in Need Team, working with children and families to deliver high-quality interventions that promote safety, stability and positive outcomes. You will manage complex cases, provide professional support to colleagues, and play a key role in ensuring children receive timely and effective services.
As a Senior Practitioner, you will support the Team Manager in maintaining high standards of practice, mentor less experienced social workers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery. You will undertake statutory assessments, develop child-centred plans, and work closely with partner agencies to safeguard children and support families.
Key Skills Required:
* Experience working within Child in Need, Child Protection, Assessment or Safeguarding Teams
* Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and children's social care practice
* Experience undertaking Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries and managing complex caseloads
* Ability to mentor, support and guide social workers within the team
* Excellent assessment, risk management and decision-making skills
* Strong communication, report writing and multi-agency working skills
* Social Work England registration required
Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* Registered with Social Work England
* Previous experience within Children's Services
* Strong understanding of Child in Need planning, safeguarding processes and statutory responsibilities
