- Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and risks of young people in the justice system.
- Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans that promote rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.
- Building strong relationships with young people, their families, and various stakeholders, including schools and community organizations.
- Providing guidance and support to junior staff and students, fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., degree in social work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in youth justice or a related field, demonstrating a strong understanding of the complexities involved.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with young people and their families.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
