Job Opportunity: Senior Social Worker / Senior Practitioner - Safeguarding Team
Location: Southwark
Rate: £36.53 per hour

Join Southwark Adult Social Care as a Senior Social Worker / Senior Practitioner in the Safeguarding Team. You will act as a Designated Senior Officer, leading on safeguarding concerns and Section 42 enquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead timely and robust responses to safeguarding issues, ensuring compliance with policy and legislation.

Screen safeguarding referrals, decide on case progression, authorise safeguarding plans, and maintain accurate case notes.

Chair safeguarding meetings and promote 'making safeguarding personal'.

Support Team and Deputy Managers in meeting performance targets.

Work closely with council colleagues and partner agencies to deliver person-centred outcomes within budgets.

Represent the local authority at key meetings and ensure agreed actions are followed up.

Promote adult safeguarding policies internally and externally.

Assist with recruitment activities as needed.
