? Job Opportunity: Deputy Team Manager - Adult Social Care
? Location: St Thomas' Hospital, Southwark
? Pay Rate: £36/hour (Umbrella)
? Start Date: September

Southwark Adult Social Care is looking for an experienced Deputy Team Manager to join the Transfer of Care Team North based at St Thomas' Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day operational oversight of social workers (4-5 staff)

Guide and manage complex discharges, safeguarding, mental capacity cases, complaints, and disputes

Attend discharge review meetings and manage system escalations

Maintain close partnership with NHS Trust colleagues, GPs, and Local Authority teams

Monitor team performance and contribute to strategic planning

Requirements:
Strong background in multidisciplinary/partnership working

Excellent knowledge of the Continuing Healthcare (CHC) process and relevant frameworks

Solid understanding of ordinary residence rules and hospital discharge pathways

Proven experience in managing social workers in a fast-paced hospital setting

Working Arrangement:
On-site presence required at St Thomas' Hospital: 4 days/week minimum

1 day/week remote working may be considered for administrative tasks only
