Adult's SW - MH Team - London Borough of Newham
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Adult's Social Worker to join our Mental Health Team in the vibrant London Borough of Newham. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to adults with mental health needs, ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Undertaking assessments and developing care plans for adults with mental health issues
- Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies to provide holistic support
- Advocating for service users and ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes
- Conducting safeguarding investigations and taking appropriate actions to protect vulnerable adults
- Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as required
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration
- Experience working with adults with mental health issues in a social care setting
- Strong assessment and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex caseloads
