We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Fostering Service team at Hull City. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and safeguarding vulnerable children and young people in foster care.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Conducting assessments and reviews of foster carers to ensure they provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
  • Working collaboratively with foster families, local authorities, and other professionals to develop care plans and support networks.
  • Providing direct support and guidance to children and young people in foster care, addressing their emotional, social, and developmental needs.
  • Participating in court proceedings and case conferences to advocate for the best interests of children in care.
  • Documenting and maintaining accurate records of all interactions and interventions in accordance with regulatory standards.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker (QSW) registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrated experience in child protection, fostering, or related social work fields.
  • Strong communication, assessment, and decision-making skills to effectively engage with children, families, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, prioritizing tasks and managing caseloads efficiently.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to ethical and legal standards in social work practice.
