Domestic Abuse Coordinator/Social Worker - Stockport £38 p/h
Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting on behalf of Stockport Family for an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join the COMPASS Domestic Abuse Hub on a 12-month maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated practitioner to make a difference within a newly established process focused on Multi-Agency Tasking and Coordination (MATAC), supporting families and children impacted by domestic abuse.

Role Overview:
As part of the Domestic Abuse Social Work Team, you will:
* Support the MATAC process with a focus on risk analysis and multi-agency working.
* Provide direct social work expertise for children and families experiencing domestic abuse.
* Offer daily duty support and advice to the wider workforce ensuring early, effective responses.
* Represent Childrens Social Care in forums such as MARAC, MAPPA, and daily risk meetings.
* Contribute to assessments related to complex domestic abuse, honour-based abuse, forced marriage, and FGM.
* Keep up to date with national and local developments to promote good practice and trauma-informed approaches.

Key Responsibilities:
* Complete investigations and assessments in line with statutory timeframes.
* Promote strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches in working with families.
* Provide risk assessments, safety planning, and multi-agency support.
* Offer advice and contribute to workforce training across the wider service.
* Maintain accurate and timely records.
* Champion Stockport Family's restorative and collaborative ethos.

About You:
We're looking for a candidate who can demonstrate:
* A recognised Social Work Qualification and Social Work England registration.
* Knowledge of child protection, early help, looked-after children, and safeguarding protocols.
* Strong understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on children and families.
* Experience in risk assessment and trauma-informed support.
* Confidence in multi-agency working and navigating complex situations.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* A full driving licence and access to a vehicle (reasonable adjustments will be considered).
