Best Interest Assessor - Full Time - Leicester - £36-38ph

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Best Interest Assessor to join our team on a full-time basis in Leicester. As a Best Interest Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting assessments to determine the best interests of vulnerable individuals who lack the capacity to make decisions for themselves.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Conducting thorough assessments in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and relevant legislation.
  • Engaging with service users, their families, and relevant professionals to gather information and perspectives.
  • Preparing detailed reports outlining assessment findings and recommendations.
  • Attending meetings and case conferences to present assessment outcomes and provide expert advice.
  • Ensuring assessments are completed within specified timeframes and maintaining accurate records.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration.
  • Experience working as a Best Interest Assessor or in a similar role within adult social care.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and its application in practice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Excellent report writing skills and attention to detail.
