We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Workers to join our Fostering Team in Gloucestershire. This position is available on both a part-time and full-time basis, providing flexibility to suit your lifestyle and commitments.
Key responsibilities and duties of this role include:
- Conducting assessments of potential foster carers to ensure they meet the necessary criteria
- Providing support and guidance to foster carers to enable them to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in their care
- Working collaboratively with other professionals to safeguard the welfare of children and promote positive outcomes
- Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as required
The essential qualifications and skills required for this position are:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant Social Work qualification and HCPC registration
- Experience working within a fostering team or in a similar child protection setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues
- Ability to assess and manage complex cases, making informed decisions in the best interest of children
