Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist to join a supportive Adult Social Services team in Brent.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled OT with strong social services experience to work at Advanced Practitioner level within a well-established team that promotes continuous professional development and reflective practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing complex Occupational Therapy needs

  • Carrying out manual handling risk assessments

  • Prescribing complex equipment and signposting for simple equipment

  • Working in accordance with the Care Act and relevant OT legislation

  • Assessing for major adaptations and preparing detailed specifications

  • Completing housing needs assessments and void property assessments


Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist with current HCPC registration

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within Social Services

  • Experience managing complex cases

  • Strong knowledge of Care Act legislation and OT best practice

  • Ability to work independently and within multi-disciplinary teams
