Council Tax Billing Officer - West Northants - £27 UMB P/H

To be responsible for accurate and timely administration of Council Tax Billing in accordance with legislation and to maximise collection of Council Tax.

To deal directly with customers and stakeholders over the phone, in writing as required to provide an excellent service to residents.

To maintain an up to date knowledge of Council Tax legislation and case law to enable accurate billing and to maximise collection

To work as a team member and to contribute ideas to assist in improving the work and customer experience.

Provide a high quality and customer focused service giving advice on Council Tax through face to face interviews, telephone, electronic channels as required and to liaise with other internal teams and external agencies as required.

Prioritise and manage own workloads to ensure objectives and targets are achieved and customer requirements are met
.
To comply with new and existing Council tax legislation and working practices and to be familiar with the Local Council tax Reductions scheme.
