The London Borough of Waltham Forest is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Children & Families (C&F) Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our community. As a qualified social worker, you will work collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals to deliver high-quality support and interventions tailored to individual needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with families and other stakeholders.
  • Providing direct support and guidance to families, helping them to navigate challenges and access resources.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports in compliance with local and national standards.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding strategies.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working in children's services, preferably in a social work capacity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
