Asset Information Officer - Wokingham - £561.06 p/h umb-

Own the housing asset and compliance data position across NEC Housing, contractor records and the stock condition survey output, reconciling the sources so the Council can demonstrate a single, accurate record for each property.

2

Cleanse the asset and compliance data and prepare it for loading into NEC Housing, and keep it accurate and current once loaded, so the system holds data the service can rely on.

3

Provide first-line sign-off that each NEC Housing module is ready and fit to go live, working with the implementation team and the service.

4

Work with the Council's corporate Data team to design the data architecture for a sustainable asset management and compliance system, and act as the link between that team and the Housing service.

5

Produce the data evidence supporting the Council's engagement with the Regulator of Social Housing, including the matters notified to the Regulator on 8 May 2026.

6

Produce the Tenant Satisfaction Measures submission for the reporting cycle, with supporting data that holds up to scrutiny by the Regulator, the Housing Ombudsman, internal audit and Members.

7

Produce the Local Authority Housing Statistics return, the Statistical Data Return and any other statutory returns falling within the role.

8

Produce performance reporting and data for the Council's housing companies, Loddon Homes and Berry Brook Homes, and support the validation and accuracy of their quarterly valuation and finance reporting.

9

Build the Awaab's Law Phase 1 evidence trail and scope the data requirements for Phase 2 commencement in October 2026.

10

Produce the data and narrative supporting the Decent Homes restatement, including the validated position once the current year's data has been confirmed.

11

Document the data model: what sits where, what feeds what, who owns each data flow, and where the known gaps are, so the data position can be understood and maintained by others without relying on undocumented knowledge.

12

Produce regular performance reporting and insight on asset and compliance data for the Housing Leadership Team, the Housing Improvement Programme Board, the Tenant and Landlord Improvement Panel and the Portfolio Holder for Housing.

13

Write material in plain English at a readability grade of 65 or above, in line with the Council's communications standard.

14

Develop and maintain an understanding of legislation, policy, procedure and guidance relevant to the role and apply these to all work undertaken.

15

This is not an exhaustive list. The post-holder will carry out other tasks appropriate to the level of the post and their level of competence and confidence.

Supervision Received

Line managed by the Information and Governance Manager. Takes professional direction on the asset data position from the Head of Asset Management. Works day to day alongside the corporate Data team, the Compliance team and the Repairs team.

Supervision Given

No line management responsibility. Builds capability across the Data team and the Housing service through documentation, shared standards and knowledge transfer.

Contacts and Working Relationships

Housing Leadership Team, Head of Asset Management, Service Manager Compliance, corporate Data team, Finance Business Partner, the Council's housing companies (Loddon Homes and Berry Brook Homes), contractors (Cardo Group, SureServe), and the Regulator of Social Housing engagement leads.

Management of resources or budget
