Children's SW - LAC Team - Tameside
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Children's Looked After Children (LAC) Team in Tameside. As a vital member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention to children and young people who are in care.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Undertaking assessments and creating care plans for children in care
- Working collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children
- Participating in case conferences and reviews to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments
- Advocating for the rights and well-being of children in care
- Providing emotional support and guidance to children and young people
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
- Demonstrated experience working with looked after children and young people
- Strong assessment and case management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload
