Sutton - Lead CP Practitioner - MACPT - £39.04 p/h Umb
Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced Lead Child Protection Practitioner to join the Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT) for Sutton Council.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Chair Strategy Meetings and Child Protection Conferences, providing leadership in safeguarding decision making.
* Lead Section 47 investigations, ensuring robust multi-agency working and timely safeguarding interventions.
* Oversee the development, implementation, review, and closure of Child Protection Plans.
* Provide consultation, guidance, and safeguarding oversight to Family Help Practitioners and partner agencies.
* Support complex assessments, co-work high-risk cases, and contribute to court reports, PLO processes, and Emergency Protection Order applications where required.
* Promote restorative, relational, and trauma-informed practice, embedding a _Think Family_ approach across all interventions.
* Work effectively within a Multi-Agency Child Protection Team alongside Police, Health, Education, and Childrens Social Care colleagues.
* Support practitioners to manage risk, improve safeguarding practice, and ensure all work is completed in accordance with statutory guidance and legislation.
* Contribute to service development, policy implementation, and the continuous improvement of safeguarding practice across Childrens Services.
Working Pattern:
* Hybrid working.
Pay Rate:
* £39.04 p/h Umbrella.
Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent.
* Social Work England Registration.
* Minimum 3 years frontline Child Protection experience within UK Childrens Social Care.
* Significant experience leading Child Protection investigations and chairing Strategy Meetings and Child Protection Conferences.
* Strong knowledge of Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children, Public Law Outline (PLO), and relevant safeguarding legislation.
* Experience working collaboratively within a multi-agency environment and supporting practitioners with complex safeguarding cases.
