Contract: Ongoing Agency Contract
About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Qualified Social Worker to join a well-established Locality Team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive local authority, managing complex cases while helping to shape best practice and mentor colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a complex caseload of children and families.
- Complete high-quality assessments, care planning, and statutory visits.
- Lead safeguarding and child protection work in line with legislation and local procedures.
- Prepare reports and represent the local authority in court proceedings where required.
- Support, mentor, and provide guidance to less experienced social workers.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
- Maintain accurate and timely case recordings in accordance with statutory requirements.
Requirements
- Social Work England registration.
- Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and court processes.
- Experience supporting, mentoring, or supervising social workers.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skills.
