Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Team Manager to join the Complex Safeguarding Team at Oldham Council.
This is an excellent opportunity to lead a specialist safeguarding team working with children and young people at risk of exploitation, missing episodes, serious youth violence, contextual safeguarding concerns and other complex safeguarding issues. You will provide strong leadership, supervision and professional support to social workers, ensuring high-quality practice and positive outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
Working closely with partner agencies, you will oversee complex cases, promote effective multi-agency working, support performance management, and ensure statutory responsibilities are met in line with current legislation and safeguarding procedures.
Key Skills Required:
Previous Team Manager experience within Children's Services
Strong knowledge of Complex Safeguarding, Child Protection, Exploitation and Contextual Safeguarding
Experience supervising and supporting social workers managing complex safeguarding cases
Excellent leadership, decision-making and performance management skills
Strong assessment, report writing and multi-agency partnership working abilities
Ability to drive high-quality practice and deliver positive outcomes for children and young people
Social Work England registration required
Essential Requirements:
Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
Registered with Social Work England
Previous management experience within Children's Services
Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and children's social care practice
