Cheshire East is seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Service. As a Qualified Social Worker in our team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities and their families to identify needs and appropriate interventions.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Providing direct support and guidance to children and families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services.
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including health professionals, educators, and community organizations, to promote the well-being of children.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements and organizational policies.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to develop effective intervention plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with children and families.
