Cheshire West - TM - Child Protection / Family Help Team
Cheshire West Council is looking for an experienced Team Manager to lead and support their Family Help Team .
Location: Floor 1, The Portal
Pay Rate: £43.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, and support to social workers and practitioners
- Oversee allocation and management of complex cases, ensuring timely and high-quality decision making
- Drive safeguarding standards and ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities and local procedures
- Monitor team performance, quality assure practice, and support continuous improvement
- Lead on staff development, coaching, and performance management
- Work in partnership with multi-agency professionals to deliver effective early help and family support
- Ensure children and families receive timely interventions that improve outcomes and reduce risk
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
