Knowsley Borough Council is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated to join Social Worker their Look After Children Team.

Location :- Westmorland Road, Huyton, Knowsley

Payrate :- Up to £39.00 Per hour (Umbrella)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload of Children Looked After (LAC)
  • Undertaking care planning, permanence planning, and pathway planning
  • Working with children subject to care proceedings
  • Preparing high-quality assessments, reports, and court statements
  • Attending court hearings and working closely with legal services
  • Building effective relationships with children, families, and carers
  • Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard children
  • Ensuring child-centred practice focused on stability and positive outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate and timely case recordings in line with statutory requirements
  • Contributing to long-term planning and achieving permanency for children

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle
