Bury - QSW - Look after Children Team
Bury Council is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated to join Social Worker their Look After Children Team.
Location :- 3 Knowsley Place, Duke Street
Payrate :- £35.00 Per hour (Umbrella)
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of Children Looked After (LAC)
- Undertaking care planning, permanence planning, and pathway planning
- Working with children subject to care proceedings
- Preparing high-quality assessments, reports, and court statements
- Attending court hearings and working closely with legal services
- Building effective relationships with children, families, and carers
- Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard children
- Ensuring child-centred practice focused on stability and positive outcomes
- Maintaining accurate and timely case recordings in line with statutory requirements
- Contributing to long-term planning and achieving permanency for children
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
