Sefton MBC - Qualified Social Worker (QSW) - Child Protection Team
Location: Trinity Road, Bootle, Merseyside, L20 3NJ
Pay: £39 per hour (Umbrella)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Child Protection Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families in Merseyside.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to ensure safety and wellbeing.
- Develop, implement, and monitor safeguarding plans.
- Work closely with multi-agency teams to protect children at risk.
- Prepare high-quality reports and participate in case conferences and court proceedings.
- Provide support and guidance to children, families, and carers.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Qualified Social Worker (QSW) with relevant UK experience.
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, procedures, and best practice.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, child-focused practice.
