Children's SW - CIN/CP Team - North Somerset
Join our dedicated Children's Social Work team in North Somerset as a Qualified Social Worker specializing in Children in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP). Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify their needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and relevant stakeholders.
- Carrying out statutory duties, including attending court hearings and presenting evidence as required.
- Providing ongoing support and intervention to families, monitoring progress, and reviewing plans regularly.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in CIN and CP settings.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in complex situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
