Join our dedicated Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Team in Staffordshire as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) or Senior Practitioner (SP). This is a unique opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable young people seeking asylum. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality support and intervention to unaccompanied minors, ensuring their safety, well-being, and integration into the community.
Your primary responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and providing ongoing support to UASC. You will collaborate closely with multi-agency partners, including health services, education providers, and legal representatives, to ensure comprehensive care for each young person. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate case records and contributing to team meetings and training sessions.
To be considered for this role, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. We are looking for candidates with strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep understanding of the challenges faced by asylum-seeking children. Experience in child protection, safeguarding, and working with diverse communities will be highly advantageous.
