Pay Rate: £35.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: OL6 7SG, Tameside
Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join the Kinship Fostering Team at Tameside Council.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist Kinship Fostering Team, undertaking assessments of family and friends carers, supporting kinship placements, and ensuring children receive safe, stable and nurturing care within their extended families wherever possible.
You will work closely with children, carers and partner agencies to complete assessments, develop support plans, monitor placements and promote positive outcomes for children.
Key Skills Required:
- Experience within Kinship Fostering, Fostering, Permanency or Children's Services
- Strong knowledge of kinship assessments, safeguarding procedures and fostering legislation
- Experience undertaking assessments and supporting children and families
- Excellent communication, report writing and multi-agency working skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and deliver positive outcomes for children and carers
- Social Work England registration required
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- Registered with Social Work England
- Previous experience within Children's Services
- Strong knowledge of statutory children's social care legislation and fostering practice
