We are seeking a dedicated and passionate PERM Social Worker CYPD to join our team in Reading. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive social work services to children and young people in need of support and protection.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Assessing the needs of children and young people and developing care plans
  • Working collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children
  • Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as required
  • Advocating for the rights and welfare of children and young people
  • Providing crisis intervention and support to families in difficult situations

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in child protection and safeguarding
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to children and families
