Rate: Up to £45.50 per hour (Umbrella)
Working Pattern: Hybrid (Home working + 2 days in the office)
Location: Cambridgeshire
Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to join their MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) on an agency basis. This is an excellent opportunity to lead within a fast-paced, multi-agency environment and drive high-quality safeguarding practice.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for leading a MASH team, ensuring effective screening, triage, and timely safeguarding decisions for children and families.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and overseeing a team of social workers within MASH
- Leading on threshold decision-making and safeguarding responses
- Working closely with partner agencies to ensure coordinated interventions
- Driving performance, quality assurance, and best practice
- Providing supervision, guidance, and support to staff
Important Information:
- Enhanced vetting is required for this role
- Candidates must be eligible to work within The Hex
- Until vetting is completed, attendance at The Hex for visits and meetings will be required
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Proven experience as a Team Manager within Children's Services
- Strong background within MASH / Front Door Services
- Ability to manage complex safeguarding decisions within a multi-agency setting

Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
