Advanced Practitioner - Duty & Assessment Team

Pay Rate: £40.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: BL9 0ED, Bury
Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Advanced Practitioner to join the Duty & Assessment Team at Bury Council.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy frontline service, where you will lead on complex assessments, provide professional guidance to colleagues, and support the delivery of high-quality safeguarding interventions. You will work closely with children, families and partner agencies to assess risk, identify needs, and ensure timely and effective support for children and young people.
As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a key role in promoting best practice, mentoring less experienced social workers, supporting decision-making, and ensuring statutory responsibilities are met in line with current legislation and local procedures.
Key Skills Required:
Previous experience within Duty & Assessment, MASH, Child Protection or Children's Services
Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and children's social care practice
Experience undertaking Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries, Child and Family Assessments and managing complex caseloads
Ability to provide professional guidance, mentoring and support to less experienced social workers
Excellent assessment, analytical and report writing skills
Strong communication and multi-agency partnership working abilities
Social Work England registration required
Essential Requirements:
Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
Registered with Social Work England
Previous experience within Children's Services
Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation, assessment frameworks and safeguarding procedures
