Wirral Council is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our dedicated Adult Social Care Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support vulnerable adults across a variety of service settings while making a real impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities:
Undertake Care Act 2014 assessments and reviews

Complete CHC checklists and contribute to Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings

Carry out Mental Capacity Assessments (MCA) and Best Interest Decisions

Work across a range of service provisions including:

Domiciliary Care

Supported Living

24-hour Residential Placements

Extra Care Housing

Day Services

Conduct face-to-face visits with service users

Contribute to safeguarding processes, ensuring safety and compliance with legislation

Essential Requirements:
Social Work England registration

Proven experience in adult social work

Sound knowledge of:

Care Act 2014

Mental Capacity Act 2005

Safeguarding procedures

Ability to undertake MCA and Best Interest Assessments independently

Experience with Continuing Health Care (CHC) processes and attendance at MDTs

Willingness and ability to travel for face-to-face visits

Rate:
£33 per hour (umbrella)
