We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Family First Team in Trafford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families in need, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Assessing the needs and risks of children and families, and developing appropriate care plans
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals to provide integrated support
- Undertaking direct work with children and families, including home visits and interviews
- Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and reviews to advocate for the best interests of children
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and HCPC registration
- Demonstrated experience in child protection, court work, and case management
- Strong communication, assessment, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload
- Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to professional standards
