Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Looked After Children (LAC) Team at Cheshire West and Chester Council.
🧩 About the Role
As a Social Worker within the LAC team, you will be responsible for supporting children and young people in care, ensuring their safety, stability, and positive outcomes. You will work closely with foster carers, families, and multi-agency professionals to deliver high-quality care planning and support.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of Looked After Children
- Complete statutory visits, care plans, and reviews
- Work in partnership with carers, families, and external agencies
- Prepare reports for court and review meetings
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and safeguarding procedures
✅ Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant Social Work degree
- Registration with Social Work England
- Proven experience working within a LAC/Children in Care team
- Strong assessment, report writing, and case management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
